Introduction

Greetings, Word Nerds!  Here's hoping you've all had a marvelous summer thus far and plan to enjoy  these last golden days as thoroughly and as wonderfully as possible. 

As promised, I'm offering you a place in which to begin sharing your responses to Bryan Stevenson's powerful book, Just Mercy.  We won't begin working specifically on the book until about halfway through the first full week of school, which should give everyone time to work through a series of posts, questions, and experiences here before we discuss the book as a class. 

HERE is a link to chapter outline doc that you may find helpful.  Please use it to keep track of the book's people and events.  I've done the first chapter as a model.  MAKE YOUR OWN COPY before you start writing.  :)

Remember that our business now is to focus well on both WHAT an author says (argument) and HOW he says it (writing strategies).
